In Santa Marianita you can find some excellent seafood restaurants and small stores for your basic needs during your stay at the beach.
Right next to our school you have "Playa Bonita" seafood restaurant. Have a look at the pictures on the righthand side.
Along the beach you find small "cabañas" where locals offer lunches for a very economic price.
Also, ask for Don Arturo´s restaurant for some good lunch and dinners. Its worth the short walk up the beach!
Accomodations:
Just in 2010 "The Kitehouse" openend in Santa Marianita. Beach front accomodations and a priviledge view make The Kitehouse a great option. For week long, all included, packages you can visit www.thekitehouse.com/ecuador
For a more economic option you can stay at "La Casita" (translates to "the little house" ). La Casita has 2 rooms, 1 bath, full kitchen and a panoramic view of the beach! Rooms can be rented for $12usd with full acces to kitchen, common room, etc. Or you can rent the entire house (sleeps 3).
